Final Project - Performance Day!!! - Part 2 (for the parents)

After our first audience left, we had a chance to go out to recess and get some energy out. While the kindergarteners went outside to play, I stayed behind with some of the other teachers to re-set up for the next performance. We put out rows of chairs, collected the materials for the next dance, and helped to readjust costumes for the students. This set-up took us the better part of half an hour to forty five minutes, and by the time the set-up was complete, our second audience of parents, friends, and guardians had already begin to arrive.

After the setup, we helped the students back onto the stage, helped them find their assigned spots, and got them ready, just as our audience members took their seats in the audience

I could tell that some kindergarteners got very nervous upon seeing their parents and families in the audience about to watch them dance and sing. For others, however, they got very excited and began to wave and yell for their parents to see them.

After most of the parents had entered the gym and found seats, we began our second performance. And just like the first performance, our kindergarteners did wonderful! They had a lot of energy, were able to remember all their dance movements, and seemed to have a lot of fun as they sang and danced for their parents and siblings. I was so proud of them and the parents and other audience members were very happy with the performance as well. They cheered after each number and seemed to be enjoying themselves as they watched their children perform.

After the performance, pictures were taken and the take-down began.

All in all, I was extremely pleased witH how the day went and I was glowing with happiness as I thought of my kindergarteners and the amazing performance that they had shown today.
